Abstract: Making sure the active ingredients in C.spp.seed and oil is benefit to improve the processing technology, develop nutritional and health-promoting camellia oil,and orient cultivar breeding.Byproducts and bioactive ingredients of C.spp.will be developed into high value-added cosmetic and pharmaceutical products,or are used for animal feeding products.The situation implies a broad market prospect.In order to deeply understand chemical nature and potential use fields of camellia resources,and to achieve camellia industrial chain extension,the bioactive ingredients and their biological and pharmacological activities of seed,oil,hull,defatted cake and leaf in Camellia spp.were discussed,and prospect of the researches on bioactive ingredients in C.spp.was described.
