Abstract: The article reports the result of the feeding habit analysis of the mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis in Taihu Lake. Its stomach contents mainly consist of hydrophyte, miscellaneous fishes, shrimps, mollusc, aquatic insects and worms. The appearance of hydrophyte and miscellaneous fishes is the highest, accounting for 68%; the others account for 40%, 20%, 12%, and 4% respectively. The crab is an omnivorous animal. The minimum of its stomach contents is 0.01% of the body weight, and the maximum 0.9%. The stomach is almost full when the temperature is 14℃-20℃.
