摘要:Liquid From Coal(LFC) process was developed in the U.S.to upgrade lignite to a stable clean coal of low sulfur and high Btu fuel with a byproduct of coal tar.It was demonstrated in ENCOAL plant that was designed to process1000 tons/day of subbituminous coal in a project supported by the U.S.Department of Energy from 1992 to 1997.However the process had some disadvantage in main equipment cost and energy efficiency.In order to improve the process the two main equipment of dryer and pyrolyzer were changed to horizontal type to lower their cost.In addition a heat recovery of high temperature processed coal was added to save energy of added gas.The modified process,titled Cogeneration of Clean Coal and Oil(CCCO) was first built in a big lab-sale unit operated in a continuous process at 25-100kg/h.Two China brown-coals from east Inner-Mongolia and Bayan Manglai mines,respectively,were tested in the unit successfully.Results of processed coal or semi-coke and tar products from CCCO were compared with typical data of LFC process.It is expected to save over 1/3 of capital on equipment and 50%of added gas in CCCO compared to LFC process.
