摘要:A luminescent solar concentrator(LSC) is a very simple device,consisting of luminescent species and a waveguide that can be used to spatially and spectrally concentrate both direct and diffuse sunlight without the need of complex tracking system.Ideally,such LSCs can facilitate solar cells to harvest more solar energy while reducing material cost and can be further designed for prospect applications in solar windows.Unfortunately,high-efficiency LSCs can be only achieved based on non-green nano-materials,such as cadmium-containing quantum dots.To address this issue,here,tandem LSCs were fabricated based on two green nano-materials and transparent waveguide matrices.These two luminophores can be used to harvest both UV and visible sunlight and emit near-IR light via resonance energy transfer.Several spectroscopic techniques were used to unravel the photo-physical properties of tandem LSCs and the synergistic effect between different luminophores.Finally,a design rule is proposed to optimize the efficiency of tandem LSCs.
