摘要:Ca3 TaGa3 Si2 O14,La3 Ga5.5Ta0.5O14 and La3 Ga5 SiO14(langasite:LGS) crystals are interesting piezoelectric materials for acoustooptics,acoustoelectronics and optoelectronics.They can be used to produce electroacoustic devices at high temperature due to their high thermal stability;for example,LGS exhibits no phase transition up to 1470℃.We present a study of surface acoustic wave(SAW)propagation in these crystals using high-resolution X-ray diffraction.The SAW propagation at the surface crystal produces periodic modulation of the crystal lattice,which leads to the appearance of diffraction satellites around a Bragg peak.The intensities of these satellites and their angular positions are related to the SAW amplitude and wavelength.Piezoelectric constants and power flow angles can be also determined by analysis of x-ray diffraction profiles,reciprocal space mapping or XY mapping of the surface acoustic wave.X-ray diffraction on LGS crystals modulated by SAW and pseudo-SAW(PSAW) with=6 μm was studied using a double axis x-ray diffractometer at the BESSY Ⅱ synchrotron radiation facility.It is easy to generate PSAW since,as for SAW,they are generated by interdigital transducers(IDT).SAW and PSAW have the same wavelength but different velocities and,consequently,are excited at different frequencies.We show direct observation of PSAW propagation and determine the power flow angle.
