摘要：Platinum-based drugs play an important role in cancer chemotherapy,but the side effects,toxicity and drug resistance have limited their wide range of clinical applications.This presentation will primarily describe the synthesis of a variety of novel phenalenyl based ligandsas well as their Pt complexes.Main highlight of the molecular design would be to focus on the substituents which can impart a balance between efficacy and loss of drug due to its reactivity with extracellular and intracellular thiols.Liposomal structure formation of these compounds will be describedin brief.The IC50 values,cellular uptake and other relevant biology dataof these small moleculesas well as the liposomes of those compounds will also be presented.
