摘要:Since Uauy et al.(2006) demonstrated that the Gpc-1,or no apical meristem(NAM) B1 wild type transcription factor was associated with early senescence and nutrient remobilization to the wheat grain,it has been attracted scientists’ attention worldwide to further explore the function of the wild type NAM-B1 and other NAM genes in bread wheat.In order to improve Australian bread wheat grain protein content and nitrogen usage efficiency,we first molecularly investigated the NAM genes in 27 Australian bread wheat varieties.In general,7 NAM genes(NAM-A1,NAM-B1 wild type,NAM-B1 mutated type,NAM-D1,NAM-A2,NAM-B2 and NAM-D2)were found in some or all Australian bread wheat varieties,NAM-D1 is the most common NAM gene detected in all bread wheat cultivars,with 29.8%of the total sequences(266/892),followed by mutated NAM-B1 at 19.6%(175/892) and NAM-A1 at 19.1%(170/892),respectively.NAM-2A,2B and 2D were less common,between 9 to 10%.The NAM-B1 wide type was rare,only found in 5 Australian bread wheat varieties at 2.5%(22/892).Both NAM-B1 wild-type and mutated type were detected from a single seed source of DNA in three wheat varieties and NAM-B1 wild type only present in two varieties which were positively correlated with high GPC.In this presentation,the different NAM-A1 genotypes were also found and will be discuss in details.
