A NHPP Based Software Reliability Growth Model for a N-Version Programming System with Increasing Fault Detection Rate under Imperfect Debugging

摘要:Automating critical areas like: air traffic control system, nuclear reactor, space application software etc. highly reliable software is required. Present days fault tolerant softwares are used in many critical areas to enhance the reliability of software system. Two types of scheme are used to achieve fault tolerance: recovery block technique and N-version programming (NVP) or combination of these two. In this paper a software reliability growth model (SRGM) based on non homogeneous Poisson process (NHPP) has been proposed for NVP system. In the proposed model increasing fault detection rate has been considered under imperfect debugging. The proposed model has been validated using some real data.
