摘要:Switching models possess discontinuous and nonlinear behavior rendering difficulties in simulations in terms of time consumption, computational complexity causing mathematical instability while equally vulnerable to errors. This issue can be sorted out by averaging detailed models over entire switching period. Several static as well as dynamic average models(full order and reduced order) have been proposed which proved to be applicable at different scenarios. This paper presents an improved average model of three phase(six-pulse) diode rectifier by approximating load current to first order Taylor series which captures the static as well as dynamic behavior of the switching model. Small signal output impedance for switching, average model and experimental setup is obtained using small signal injection technique. Impedances of each integral part in interconnected AC/DC/AC systems are necessary for determining the overall stability of the complete system. Results obtained prove sufficient matching hence validating the modeling procedure and technique.
