摘要:Angle of Arrival(AOA) estimation techniques such as Multiple Signal Classification(MUSIC),Estimate Signal Parameters via Rotational Invariant Technique(ESPRIT), Polynomial Root Intersection for Multiple Dimensional Estimation(PRIME), and Maximum Likelihood Estimation(MLE) require large number computations. They require either an eigen analysis or likelihood function computation. This paper proposes using the Projection Method(PM) to estimate the signal’s AOA. The computation load of the PM is much lower than the above mentioned algorithms. Results of the PM are presented from a simulation study. The antennae used in this simulation study are Multiple Input Multiple Output(MIMO) and Uniformly-Spaced Linear Array(ULA) antennae. The performance is investigated under varied parameters, including varied array size, Pseudo Random(PN) sequence length, a number of snapshots, and Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR). The results of the projection method are compared to the MUSIC and MLE methods.
