Heart Beat Rate Measurement Based on Piezoelectric Sensors and Microcontroller

摘要:Heart diseases of enormous proportion is a crisis faced in many countriesTherefore, the need of heart monitors will have to keep pace with in order to minimize the worsening of patients’ heart illnesses or loss of lifeIn view of this, a flexible and portable design based on a group of piezoelectric sensors(LDT0) and a microcontroller(Arduino) is designed to measure the heart beat rate from the throatTwo devices are used to compare the results of the designed circuitThe "Easy Pulse V1.1" circuit, and a commercial digital device used as reference " Pulse Oximeter Jumper JPD-500A"Both devices are used to measure the heart beat rate from the finger tipThe three methods are tested on one hundred individuals, their ages between 25 and 50 years old, without effort and with effortThe percentage error of the Easy Pulse and the Piezoelectric senor without effort is 1.1354% and 0.9806% respectivelyWhile The percentage error of the Easy Pulse and the Piezoelectric senor with effort is 1.0736% and 1.0247% respectivelyThe Fuzzy Logic is used to predict the output surfaces of the heart beat rate based on the three methods measurements’.
