Structural Analysis and Optimization Design of TVM
摘要：The deformation of a TVM has been calculated and the structural analysis and optimization design have been accomplished in this paper. In the design of TVM （Ticket Vending Machine）, it is important to obtain the deformation of front door. The precise geometric model is constructed by utilizing 3D software Pro/ENGINEER, and the finite element model of TVM is set up by HyperMesh （FEA software）. Different element types are used in this finite element model such as Rigid, Weld, Hex8. Then the door deformation and stress under its gravity are analyzed by Nastran （FEA software）, in order to find the exact position of the biggest stress and deformation. The results indicate that the biggest stress appears on the hinge, and the biggest deformation is on the position which is right panel. Different improved designs are discussed and put forward to reduce deformation. Then the problem of overweight is also presented in the paper synchronously. The weight is reduced by the method of topology optimization, which is carried out by Optistruct （FEA software）. At last, it is showed that the door deformation is reduced obviously after the optimization. Thus the results are of great significance as theoretical guidance for practical structural design.
