Isolation of Aviprin from Prangos uloptera roots and study of its cytotoxic effects

摘要：Many researches have shown that plant-derived polyphenolic compounds are hopeful nutraceuticals for restrain of various disorders such as neoplastic disease.Aviprin is a linear furanocoumarin which isolated from methanol extract of Prangos uloptera roots by SPE-C18 cartridge using preparative HPLC.Biological and antiproliferative activity of aviprin was examined on LNCap-FGC10 cell line.The results showed that the IC50 and CC50 of aviprin were 410 and 770 4g/ml,respectively.Study of the treated cell morphology depicted that the shape of the cells were round and diminutive and by increasing the concentration of the aviprin,intercellular connection became loose and cell cytoplasm became vesiculate.These results showed significant antiproliferative effects of aviprin on human prostate cancer derivate cell line.
