USE DEFLECTORS TO IMPROVE THE FLOW PATTERN OF THE 95-TRAY

摘要:<正> According to the principle that the meridians separate every woof into isometric segments, well-designed deflectors were arranged like the meridians of the globe on plane maps to improve the flow pattern of the 95-tray. A multi-plug flow was set up on the 95-tray. Temperature profiles of the liquid layer and the liquid phrase Murphree tray efficiencies (eML) were calculated to evaluate the performance of the deflectors. The results show that the well-designed and placed deflectors can obviously increase the tray efficiency by almost 30% under the same operating conditions.
