Mathematical analysis of the static solar concentrator with cascading right-angle prisms

摘要：A design of the static solar concentrator with cascading right-angle prisms is proposed to guiding sunlight into indoor for illumination.In this paper,the input–output relationship between incident and exit light for the parallel light impinging on a single right-angle prism was investigated in two-dimensional conditional analysis.We propose the mathematical models to analyze the collection efficiency on the relationship between cascading right-angle prisms and the path of the sun.The proposed models have been verified by FRED optical designsoftware.The simulation on the examples indicates the proposed mathematical models are effective and feasible,consistent with that of the FRED.
