摘要:The static solar concentrator with cascading right-angle prisms whose axes are in different directions, called Natural Light Illumination System, has the potential to guide sunlight into indoor for illumination and building energy saving, resulting from the low cost and ease of installation and maintenance. We propose the modified design for Natural Light Illumination System to improve the collection efficiency by modifying the length of every prism, the better number of cascadingprisms, and sunlight rotating around the prism in y-z direction. Using FRED Optical Engineering Software(FRED), the simulated results show that the total collection efficiency of the modified concentrator can be increasing by 44.796% than the conventional one.
