Brief discuss on advanced control methods for PM synchronous motor in electric vehicle

【摘要】 Recently, electric vehicles have been widely used due to its cleanliness, efficiency and simple structure, and a lot of automobile manufacturers has launched electric vehicle products. And as a vital component in electric vehicle system, the control quality of PM synchronous motor is an important factor determining the performance of electric vehicles, which will directly affect the endurance and acceleration of electric vehicles. This topic has attracted extensive attention from researchers, and many researchers have proposed many novel methods, such as vector control, direct torque control. However, because of the characteristics of non-linearity, multi-variable and strong coupling, it is very difficult to control the PM synchronous motor with high precision. This paper will introduce some advanced control methods for PM synchronous motor which has achieved remarkable performance and has huge potential economic value.
