Study on the Antioxidant Activity of Mongolian Medicine FRUCTUS CHOEROSPONDIATIS in Vitro

【摘要】 [Objective] To study the antioxidant activity of extracts from FRUCTUS CHOEROSPONDIATIS and provide theoretical basis for acknowledging the mechanism on strengthening the cardiovascular system. [Method] The antioxidant activities of extracts from FRUCTUS CHOEROSPONDIATIS were tested in vitro by pyrogallol autoxidation method, potassium ferricyanide reduction method and Fenton method. [Result] Both the crude extracts and ion exchange chromatographic extracts exhibited certain antioxidant capacity, among which the crude extracts had better capacity on scavenging ·OH and O2-·, the ion exchange chromatographic extracts had strong scavenging ability on ·OH while with low scavenging ability on O2-·. [Conclusion] Extracts from Monglian Medicine FRUCTUS CHOEROSPONDIATIS by different methods had different antioxidant activities,and the antioxidant activity mechanisms of different extracts varied as well.
