【摘要】 [Objective] To study the antibacterial activity of RADIX ET CAULIS SOLANI TORVI extract against tested strains in vitro. [Method] The antibacterial activity of RADIX ET CAULIS SOLANI TORVI extract against 10 kinds of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus was tested by drug-sensitive disk diffusion method and tube double dilution method. [Result] The water extract from RADIX ET CAULIS SOLANI TORVI ① presented antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus citreus, Micrococcus, Bacillus subtilis, Shigella and Staphylococcus albus. Ethanol extract ② and petroleum ether extract ③ had strong inhibitory effect on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus citreus, Micrococcus, Bacillus subtilis and Shigella. Ethanol extract ② and chloroform extract ④ had weak inhibitory effects on Staphylococcus albus. [Conclusion] Different extracts from RADIX ET CAULIS SOLANI TORVI presented varying antibacterial activity against tested strains. The antibacterial activity of ethanol extract ② was higher than that of water extract ①, but petroleum ether extract ③ and chloroform extract ④ were the main active ingredients that contributed to antibacterial activity.
