Determination of Total Flavonoids in the Fruits of Elaeagnus mooraroftii Wall and Elaeagnus oxcarpa Schlechtend

【摘要】 [Objective] To detect the water contents,total ash contents and total flavonoids contents of Elaeagnus mooraroftii Wall and Elaeagnus oxcarpa Schlechtend in Xinjiang.[Method] According to the 2010 Chinese Pharmacopeia,water content and total ash content were detected.With rutin as the reference substance,NaNO2-Al(NO3)3-NaOH color system was taken as chromogenic reagent.Total flavonoids content was detected by UV spectrophotometry.[Result] Water content was less than 13.75% and total ash content was less than 2.91% in both E.oxcarpa and E.mooraroftii fruits.The total flavonoids contents of E.oxcarpa and E.mooraroftii in Xinjiang were (8.75±0.101 5) and (2.15±0.065 6) mg/g (n=3),respectively.[Conclusion] This method was simple accurate and repeatable and could be used for the content determination of total flavonoids in Elaeagnus angustifolia fruits.
