Study on the HPLC Fingerprints of CORTEX MAGNOLIAE OFFICINALIS Extracts from Supercritical CO2 Extraction

【摘要】 [Objective] To study HPLC fingerprints of CORTEX MAGNOLIAE OFFICINALIS extracts from supercritical CO2 extraction, and to provide effective methods for quality control. [Method] A HPLC analysis was performed at 35 ℃ on a chromatographic column Phenomenex Luna  5u C18 (2) 100R (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) with the detection wavelength at 280 nm. The mobile phase consisted of chromatographic methanol and 0.1% acetic acid (V/V, 74∶26). Following the injection of sample solution, an elution was initiated at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. [Result] In repeatability test, the fingerprint similarity among samples was all greater than 0.99, so that HPLC-fingerprints could be use for quality control of CORTEX MAGNOLIAE OFFICINALIS extracts from supercritical CO2 extraction. The similarity among 10 batches of its extracts ranged from 0.9 to 1.0, which showed that SFE-CO2 extracts were uniform and stable. [Conclusion] CORTEX MAGNOLIAE OFFICINALIS extracts were proved to be high-purity products with very low impurity, in which main active ingredients magnolol and honokio could nearly occupy 100%.
