Study on Chemical Constituents from the Ancient Ephedra Species Found in Yanghai,Xinjiang

【摘要】 [Objective]To separate and identify the chemical constituents of the ancient Ephedra species and investigate their stability.[Method] The chemical constituents were extracted from the ancient Ephedra species by ethanol reflux method,further separated by column chromatography, and their structures were elucidated by spectral data analyses.[Result]Eight compounds were isolated from the ethanol extract of Ephedra species and identified as kaempferol-3-O-α-L-ramnopyranoside(compound 1),quercetin-3-O-β-L-rhamnopyranoside(compound 2),kaempferol-3-O-α-L-ramnopyranosyL-4″-O-E-(4-hyd-roxy)-cinnamoyl(compound 3),ciwujiatone(compound 4),tetradecanoyl-cholest-5en-3β-ol(compound 5),β-sitosterol(compound 6),octacosanol(compound 7),and hexacosanoic acid(compound 8).[Conclusion]Flavonoids from the ancient Ephedra species could stably preserve and indicate some level of phytochemical fidelity.
