Content Determination of Plumbagin in Plumbago zeylanica Flowers and Fruits

【摘要】 [Objective]The content of plumbagin in Plumbago zeylanica L.flowers and fruits were determined,to provide the experimental basis for the clinical application and development of Plumbago zeylanica L.flowers and fruits.[Methods]The medicinal powders were immersed in cold methanol(50 mL)for 24 hours,and then extracted for 50min by ultrasound,to determine the content of plumbagin in Plumbago zeylanica L.flowers and fruits by HPLC.[Results]The content of plumbagin in Plumbago zeylanica L.flowers and fruits were respectively0.005 9%and 0.009 5%.[Conclusion]Plumbago zeylanica L.flowers and fruits contained plumbagin,which is the active ingredient,having the value of development and utilization.
